Is the Festool SysRoll 100 for a systainer set up strong enough for site work?

My first post so be kind!
I'm a carpenter joiner in the UK. I've recently become a stay-at-home dad in the day time, this means that a lot of my work is now at the evenings or weekends and in trying to make myself more efficient I'm slowly switching over to a systainer based system (only slowly so the wife doesn't notice...) for my other none Festool tools. I'm thinking if I can carry most of what I need in one or two trips it will save a lot of time going back and forth to the van meaning the customer is happier and I get the job done faster.
I already have a few systainers; one to go with my TS55, one for screws, one I'm going to convert for all my drill bits, a SYS tool box to go on top and I'm going to buy one (SYS3?) to fit my Makita 18 volt drill and impact driver (I know I shouldn't swear on here!).
My question: Is the Festool trolley up to "proper" site work? (I work full time on sites during all the school holidays). The concept looks great and it will mean that when I'm in my little workshop at night I'll be able to just wheel everything I should need in one go without having to buy duplicate drills, etc or make hundreds of trips to the van. Has anyone got one and use it on a regular basis? I'm sorry if this topic has already been covered - I'm new here!

I haven't got one, but i find that most festool construction is pretty solid. The plastics they use don't seem brittle to me. My UG cart is heavily used and beat up, but still works flawlessly. I don't think they recommend babying any of their kit.

I would suggest go to Search. Type in Sysroll and you will get many comments about its usefullness for sure. I use mine alot and have never found any issues

I have one and find that I use it as a lite weight hand truck almost as much as I use it for moving systainers.  I have used it to move may air compressor, mft/3, 2 Keiter tables at a time, etc.  It is a litter strange to see it standing up on both wheels and castors and swiveling around on a hard floor because of my use as a hand truck.

First of all [welcome] to the FOG!

I have one as well and I take it to all of my job sites loaded to the max and it's held up very well.

Yes, [welcome] to the FOG!

I'm watching this one with interest because I don't own a Sysroll either.

As an aside - considerig that they came up with it in Germany - I wonder if they ever considered calling it a Kaiser Roll?

I have used my pretty much every day for at least a year with now problems. Now I have made it into my air sys-roll with my air guns on top so I'm getting another for other systainers, I love it.

Thanks for the replies guy, I think it's going to have to go on my "to have" list, only I'll have to get it delivered to site so it doesn't get noticed at home...
I now need to find which systainer would be best to hold my Makita 18v li-ion drill, driver, 4 batteries and charger. Another search on here might give me the answer.
I have a feeling this site could be dangerous!

I use a sys4 for my makita 18v gear . Drill,  impact , circular saw  ( 135mm blade ) , 5 batteries , charger and a mini with drill bits .took ages to work out how to do it as I wanted to leave the batteries on the tools and take any tool out without having to move stuff first. I can take some pics if it will be of help.

Yeah that would be a great help. Just trying to get some ideas - I am tempted to have two SYS1 boxes and have the drills and impact in one and charger and batteries in the other but it might be to big or awkward to have two or not fill them enough to make it worth while. I haven't got the cordless saw - I find they kill batteries so I never brought one so I wouldn't need quite so much space.

I'm a site chippie and the sys roll has served me well the last 3 or 4 months of using it on site. The site isn't flat either, a lot of graveled surfaces.
One other thing, i keep my 18v makita kit in a sys 5. That holds the trim saw, jigsaw, 3 batteries and 2 chargers in the lower section. In the self made top section goes the drill driver , impact and side handle for the drill.  ;D

I have the sys-roll and find it a great asset to my site work.
I try to keep the heavy stuff low but my sys box tool box is kinda heavy and it has.
to be on top.
It rolls well over a lot of different terrain and with the caster wheels, stays flat to work out of.  Btw it says it will handle 100 kg

What is the tray above the compressor that the sustainers sit on?

It's a SYS-Cart Base from Tanos, which also can be hung on the wall.
It's mainly a RB-SYS-Cart without the wheels.

So is it connected to the sysroll (making it a suspended shelf) or is it sitting on the compressor?

I had to cut out the corners to fit it back in the sys-roll. Then it sets on top of the compressor witch is screwed to the sys-roll then where I cut out the corners I put a srew into the sys-roll.

I bought mine last spring after being frustrated loading Sys-carts (the low roll board) back and forth across stairs and messy job sites.  I like it so much that I am considering another!

I've put almost all of my tools and supplies in Systainers now.  It really speeds up loading and improves organization.

You asked, too, about what to use for your drills.  I use a Sys3 with an attic lid that I swapped from the Sys2.  All my commonly used bits are in the lid, so easy access.  I have inside the box one 18v drill + charger plus three 12V drills with charger and extra batteries.  I also fit a small forstner set, a brad point set, and two yellow/black (shhh!) organizer cases for all the miscellaneous.

i think I'll probably go for a SYS 3 like that and try to do much the same. I might order some foam as well to make sure everything stays in place. I'd like to have a door hanging kit all on the sysroll and in systainers as thats one thing I seem to be doing loads of lately and I think it would speed me up and make my day easier. I've been using the SYStoolbox for a few weeks now and I love that rather than lugging my main toolbox into peoples houses.
