Is the Spirit Level designed to lock into the handle? Mine doesn't lock

I bought a spirit level, and installed in my T 18 + 3 systainer, and it doesn't seem to lock in place.  It will slide out if tilted.  Is it supposed to lock?

The level should have a green spring-loaded tab on one end that mates into the opening on the handle of the Systainer3 systainers.

If the green tab is missing, or the spring is broken or missing, or the hole isn't cut in the handle, it won't work.

Do you have pictures?

I'll take pictures tonight...handle has hole, tab has spring...it's almost like there is something that is preventing the spring loaded tab from fully pushing out and locking in place.

Just got one myself, and I recall there are a couple of the SYS-3 boxes it specifically mentions won't work. One is the open top tool box. That one is kind of a shame...it would be a perfect place for the level to live. Don't remember the other exclusion off the top of my head, but in a plain old vanilla SYS-3, it works like a charm.

That's an understatement; was so disappointed when I confirmed the handle is curved.

Because that's SYS 2, which precedes the level mentioned above. All Sys 3s have straight handles, including tool box. Mine surely does. BTW, ToolNut sells spare handles.
