Is there a Festool Tool or accessory that you regret purchasing.

Up untill my last purchase,  I have never regretted purchasing a Festool Tool or accessory. This last purchase was a Dust Bsg for my HK55.

It soon fills and even 1/3 full there is saw dust shedding straight off the blade and over the rail and me. There is much better sawdust removal with no bag and if the exhaust nozzle is angled away from me and the rail, or indeed a dust extractor is fitted.

I wasted A$72.00 on a flimsy textile bag which could have been better spent on a second saw blade.

Be warned.

Surfix
Compact Cleaning Kit
TSC 55 - Didn't run it; just immediately returned after putting on the bag.  [big grin]

Any particular reason you didn't like the compact cleaning kit?

I found the Track hose deflector to be pretty worthless myself.

Carvex definitely. It's my only festool that shoots dust into my eyes. Could have gotten a Bosch that does the same thing.

[size=13pt]I should have added, no KS120 posts please. There are plenty of alternative threads on that!  [eek]

The non-velcro pad for the RS 2 E and accompanying hole punch. Seemed like a good idea at the time to be able to use any paper I wanted, but it tears so quickly that the cost of that and the associated accessories more than outweighs the cost of just buying the Granat sheets. Complete and total waste.

If I'm working without the CT I just attach the hose to the saw and most of the dust finishes inside the hose instead of in my face.

Lack of use, and I didn't do my homework on the the tubes being polpropylene ala shopvacs and whatnot.  It's a tactile thing, I dislike the feel.  [tongue]
I also bought the kit with the 36mm anti-static hose, steel tubes and "industrial" floor nozzle. It's more to my liking. However, the hose does want to slip off, and said hose would be better off if it wasn't a rigid anti-static version.  Easily solved by using a different hose. :0

Like all other vac situations in my life, most of the attachments sit on a shelf, collecting dust (pun intended) because  the vac sucks stuff up better without them.

Yep, the Carvex. I got sucked in by all of the accessories available for it and I absolutely hate using this jig saw. I love every other Festool I own, but wish I'd gone with the Bosch for my jigsaw.

Accessories-Ct wing, works ok thought I would use it more
-Kapex crown stops, why did I buy them I cut my crown flat?
-centrotec extension bit, annoying to use bit slips all the time
                -centrotec locking bit holder terrible
-this is probably all my fault as I live in Canada where we use #2
Robertson and #10 torx which festool does not make?
                Thank You atlas, snappy etc.
Tools- Ro 90 I found it difficult to hold and keep flat but probably works great for some people
-I returned hkc55 for the corded model, I found it underpowered for my uses, I wanted to love it but unless you are cutting thin material and don't mind splintering get the hk55 its great, happy for Festools 30 day return policy

I had a coworker who bought the carvex and accessory kit. Not good. I had a trion, it was ok but needed cordless and bought Makita brushless barrel grip, it's awesome.

Festool 497701 Workshop Cleaning Set:  I hate the way the hose comes off from the steel tube at the handle section.
Dominos:  got the systainer full but never used them. I found using my cut offs
too tempting. What else can you do with scrap? but make dominos

Vecturo ... wish all they bothered making was the guide to fit the Fein.

Carvex 400 ... just don't use it. I really get along well with the Cordless Carvex 420.

I don't love the CMS rip fence ...

Carvex.
C15: I actually like the C15 a lot and use it all the time, but I wish I'd gone for the cxs instead.

I quite like my cordless  Carvex 420. But the accessory systainer has proved to be a big waste of money for me.

A few years back my Carvex 400 went back immediately why it didn't have the blade guides I'll never understand, that's what makes the festool jigsaws so accurate. They fixed this with the Carvex 420 which i bought and love (18v).

A C12 went back immediately also. Despite my love for the cxs i hate the ergonomics of the bigger c-drills and the c12 was so lacking in power.
