Looking at Just Tools website there appears to be a new model KS88e [NAINA] that unlike the old model K88 has the same cutting capacities (particularly for crown moulding?) as the K120. The only difference is no lasers or smart bevel. But about $400A cheaper.

Have I read this correctly?

The KS 88 was introduced in Europe not long after the KS 120. I'm not extremely familiar with all of the differences, but it's essentially a "basic" version of the Kapex without the bells and whistles.

It's still the same ks88, I was looking through the older threads, but the links to the comparison charts don't work anymore.
Differences (from memory):

No tall miter latch

No lasers (so also no angle divider)

No turn dial for the bevelsetting.

No magnetic blade brade.

The tall miter setting gives a bit extra cutting capacity for baseboard only, the cutting capacity for crown moulding was the same already. (It locks the sawhead in a position a bit forward, and it can plunge a bit deeper into the table, so it still cuts through at the bottom corner at the fence.
