Is this common for TSC KEB track saw?

I recently bought a TSC 55 KEB track saw, just received it two weeks ago. I tried it, and noticed immediately that the cut was not square at 0 degree. So I searched online, and found how to adjust it. It has a small screw in the front and two additional screws in the back. I adjusted it, and it cut much better now from what I could tell, but it's not at 0 degree anymore based on the angle meter, it's close to 1 degree as seen from attached picture. There is no instruction in the manual to explain how to fix this problem.

I think in >99% of situation, I would just use the saw at 0 degree and would rarely adjust the angle. I am not sure if this close to 1 degree misalignment is within the accepted tolerance of festool quality control. I did email festool service a week ago, but never received a response.  The seller asked me to send it back to festool for calibration. I haven't done it yet because now the saw seems to cut fine as far as I could tell although there is no guarantee that I did it right. I heard some bad stories about festool takes too long to ship the equipment back. I am not sure if I should send it back to festool for calibration  or not?

My table saw angle guide does not match up with the calibration. I just use a square to check the angle cut when it is critical.

My expectations of accuracy are not high.

But I did choose my miter saw because DeWalt uses a stamped index instead of the cast-in-place ones on other saws.  I was able to adjust the saw to make accurate cuts.

However, my picture framing saw (sliding table saw) has only one setting (45 degrees) and that is machined at the factory.  That is more accurate than the DeWalt--and probably more accurate than any adjustable miter saw.

I have not cut miters yet with my track saw.  But I will check the accuracy of the miter angle with samples before I do.  I have little regard for the little silk screened lines on plastic.

My one experience with Festool warranty was shipping them a very new HL 850 planer. Shipped it, they received and within a day or so it was shipped back out. Pretty darned quick.

Is the zero indicator not adjustable?

The green pointer is adjustable. Look for a small hole on the front to loosen the screw holding it.

As Svar stated, the scale is adjustable.  Loosen the T15 screw on the side and move the scale pointer where you want it before tightening the screw.

Thank you.  I don't know the scale is adjustable.  I will try it tonight to see if I could adjust it.

I ask if the pointer is adjustable. One post confirming. Another post with picture and a pointer. Very nice.

Yes, I just adjusted it. Super easy. So why festool not listed all these in the manual?
