Guys thanks for putting me up there, but I really have no documentation or anything that comes close to what the contests here require to win.

I decided not to participate in the contests a long time ago.

But thanks again!
Nick,
I never asked for that kind of documentation ,as phenomenal as it is.

I realize that there are a lot of somewhat challenge behind the keyboard folks out there, myself included so I wanted it to be as simple as you can do it.  I've seen some of your posts on projects and they are fantastic works that deserve to be entered.  Don't second guess yourself.  You might  be surprised what a simple before and after picture with a brief description can do to strike up interest in others.

I was waiting until after Bob got around to picking the winner of December's contest.  But I guess that I will go ahgead and nominate two projects for January.  They are:

Woodgeek?s Dinnerware Hutchhttp://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=5006.0

Jay StPeter?s Garden Benchhttp://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=5830.0

Frank,

I apologize for the delay in making a choice, but will make a decision this week.
Apologize to Bill for intruding into his "area".

Bob

No problem, I was kind of itchin to see who you'd pick too.

Good Morning,
I have edited the poll to remove Dave Ronyak's project, since it was a winner in December.  I also removed nickao's entry, as requested.

OK, we need more nominees!  Everyone, take a look at all the great projects in the "Member Projects" board and decide which ones should be listed in the poll.

Thanks,
Matthew

I previously nominated this but I don't see that it's been added yet,http://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=5908.msg61337;topicseen#msg61337

Following the contest rules, we prefer that members post projects here in the forum.  But I understand Picasa is more of a private gallery, so it can be seen as a somewhat direct link to the project.  Kind of a gray area.  It's a good example of work, so it deserves to be in the poll.
Thanks,
Matthew

Thanks for making an exception Matthew. When I started posting them, I wasn't eligible to win anything! Thanks for the nomination guys. I will resize some finished photos, post them to the gallery, and link them to my member project page as soon as I can get the time.

Yeah thats an awful lot of pictures just to re-post here. Just put up the more important ones.

I am an Eli supporter this month. Heck of a job and a huge amount of work, all done to perfection. From carpentry to woodworking this project encompasses it all.

I like all the projects, but to me this is like all the other projects rolled into one. It  has facets of many of the other projects, if not all. :)

Thanks Nick.

I've put a few finished product pictures at the top of the project thread.

This thread has been viewed close to 1200 times but there are only 16 votes???  C'mon people VOTE!!!!

Good Morning,
I've added all the current nominations to the poll.

Also, I have added a "Quick Links" listing in the first post in this discussion, to make it easier for people to take a look at the projects under consideration this month:
Click here to see the quick links

Thanks,
Matthew

If you already voted you may want to double check your vote, when these recent projects were added my vote was changed from what I originally entered.

Good point.  People should regularly check back and review the entries.

After all, that's part of the whole idea -- for people to keep taking a fresh look at all the great projects posted here in the FOG.

Thanks,
Matthew

Great contest idea, It's very nice of FOG and Bill to include International members in the contest. A big thanks to Mathew and Bill.

I'm abit surprised to see my dresser nominated, considering I finished it 3/4 of the way through last year.

Thanks for the supportive comments.  It's a lot of work putting these contests together, but it's well worth it when it gets members involved.

One of my biggest goals for the FOG is to make sure it is international.  And from the beginning, I've always wanted the contests to include people from all over the world.  But there was no practical way to do it, until now.

That's the spirit of the contest.  As long as the project is in the "Member Projects" board, it is eligible.  It doesn't matter when it was completed.

With that in mind, let me say, keep those nominations coming!

Thanks again,
Matthew
