Mettes,
OK, you are now the official FOG ambassador from Belgium.

Let's hear from more people -- nominations, ideas, new projects!

Thanks,
Matthew

Good Evening,
We're heading into the final week of January.  So if you want to get a project included in this month's project -- post it soon!
Also, let's hear some more project nominations.
Thanks,
Matthew

Matthew, I agree that the Euro Cabinets 100 thread is excellent, but I raise a procedural nit.  It is in the 'Festool How To' group rather than the 'Projects' group.  Does this mean that threads from any group can be nominated?

Thanks for pointing that out.
Overtime's project probably should have been moved into the "Member Projects" board a long time ago.  I think he posted it before there was a "member Projects" board!
I just moved it.
Thanks,
Matthew

Good Evening,
OK everyone -- here's a shout to the FOG community to nominate projects, and vote in the poll.

Just one more full day of the month left!

Stay in touch,
Matthew

One day left to vote, Hopefully you got you nominations in even if it was for your own project.
If you haven't voted for one in particular look through and pick one.
The top ten will be the finalists for the drawing.
Good luck to all.

Bill

No one's said it yet?!  Jacobus P's split table deserves a big nod.

It's a new project, so maybe not enough people have had a chance to see it yet!
But it certainly deserves more attention.
Well, it's in the contest now.
Thanks,
Matthew

Thank you guys for nominating my project. Perhaps it could run for the feb contest considering we put it up there pretty late this month.
If not, I'll post a new project feb 1st!  ;)

Any project that doesn't win is eligible the following months.  This was the 1st month the contest was opened up to those outside of the US Canada.  Hopefully that will continue in the future.

Hey folks, I don't think we should assume that there will be a contest every month.  We are getting spoiled by the generosity of the folks who have put up the prizes.  I, for one, expect that there will be times that Matthew cannot line up a sponser.

Correct!  The way we do projects here is on a "rolling" basis.  Any project in the projects board (or the jigs and inventions board) are eligible automatically.

The whole point of the contests is to make it so members' contributions are naturally considered.  I want people to just post their ideas, and not have to worry about special "entry requirements."  The contests are simply meant to be a way to inspire general creativity.

It would be great to continue getting international offerings, but that's up to the sponsors.

That's a good point, although for now a monthly contest continues to happen.  Behind the scenes, I am constantly working to line up sponsors and think of new angles on the contest idea.

Stay in touch,
Matthew
