I decided on the RO 150 Sander and added a promo pack of paper and a vacuum hose that attaches to my current Vacuum.  Thanks again FOG and Festool Supply

Congratulations, Prater.    Enjoy your new RO sander.  When you have completed your current build out of custom spear guns and restoration of your boat, my guess is that one of your future projects is going to be a bookcase.

I also hope you're enjoying the sander.  These tool contests are one of the things that make the FOG unique, and it's been gratifying to see skilled woodworkers be able to get new tools this way.

But remember, one of the goals of the contest is to help boost activity and postings.  So, tell us what you're making with your new sander!  And post photos.

It's all about inspiration and member connections.

Stay in touch,
Matthew

I applaud your choice. By now, you should have had some time with the Rotex 150. Isn't it the best sander by miles that you or anyone you know has ever used?

I have been using mine most of the day and can't be happier. I've been taking some old, crappy, reclaimed cedar fence pickets and turning them into something really nice. I've used 25, 50, and 80 grit paper and with each grit, starting in gear-driven mode and then going to RO mode before changing to the next finer grit. The results are fast and slick, just like the demo we do. From dirty, silvered, pock-marked junk to cool looking pieces for an outdoor project my "assitant" wants in very little time.

Based on the work you've already shown, I think the Rotex is going to be in good hands...
