Hi again,
I had a some (3) old Jarrah coffee table tops and some 60 x 38mm legs from an old failed Entertainment unit lying in the shed taking up extra valuable space! So I decided to make this Servery which sits between the lounge and Dining Room as a divider. I had to strip the whole lot back to raw timber as most of it was coated with Poly. (I don't like Poly, I'm an Oil finish man.) The unit is 1.4m long. 91cm tall and 35cm deep. The drawer is about 13cm deep and runs the length of the fascia, which is 20cm deep.
The oil I used is a Tung oil based concoction, called Hard Burnishing Oil, which provides heat and liquid resistance to timber so you don't need Poly on top!
Regards,
Rob.
