Several Foggers have the router table guides, I just received this email from Jessem about new table saw guides!

Nice, hope I'm not the first to attempt to see if they work and how well on the Incra Positioners!
I wish they were powered, I'm not sure about how well they seem to work considering you need space for a push stick...

Looks like they would work on router tables that have a  T-slot on top of the fence too. I just got the other ones from Jessem. Gave then a quick test run, and they worked very well.

I am not sure I would invest in these if you are solely using them for routing.  I have had the clear guides for a while and really like them while routing (them plus my gripper!) but these would truly shine on a TS setup.  I am not sure I would invest in the extra $$ to use as a router setup.

Don't get me wrong, they look great and I am sure they perform very well, but to me, for routing, it would be the wrong tool for the right job.

cheers.  Bryan.

Oh, good call on the Push Stick issue.  That IS a problem..... [blink]

I have been using these things.

They are similar to the Jessem in concept, in that you mount them on the fence and you can angle them towards the fence.  With the ones I have, you can independantly adjust the spring tension, the hand out from the fence, the angle of the wheel in relation to the fence (including zero).

You can also determine if you want the wheels to roll in one direction only or in both directions.

They work well for me and I find that I like using them better than a featherboard in many situations.  The wheel angling does help keep the stock against the fence.  They are somewhat bulky.  Despite their bulk, I find that in most (not all) situations, they can be positioned in a manner where you do not have a problem with using a push stick and they won't interfere with a blade guard.

The Jessums appear to be very sturdy and more compact than the ones I have.  I also like the way they attach to the fence.  I would certainly be interested in them, however, I think the price is too steep for me to abandon the ones I already own.

Funny thing is I ordered the Jessem Clear Cut guides for the router table a few weeks ago and they will be delivered on Monday.  (Jessem was moving and I had also ordered the paralign dowel jig and one or the other needed held up the order.)  I ordered the Clear cut guides because I like the wheeled guides I already have for the table saw so much that when I saw the Jessem guides for the router table, I knew they would work in situtaions where I couldn't use the other guides.  Now Jessem comes out with these table saw guides.

I have looked at my Incra table saw and router fence set-up and it definitely looks like the Clear Cut Router Guides are better suited to attach to the Router fence while the Jesseum table saw guides look like they will work better for table sawing.  Hopefully, they can get the price down a bit closer to their router guides.

True the Jessum guides appear to be very nice and should function quite well. But the push stick issue bothers me. For a mere $6000.00 dollars more I can purchase a decent sliding table saw, clamp the workpiece to the slider and save the cost of buying a push stick. A no brainer for me!

In the video they show that the guides are set to be a few inches before and after the blade. You can catch a couple glimpses of the push stick being used once the end of the wood is between the guides. Whether or not this is a realistic practice , I don't know.

Man Seth. That would feel weird, sort of a start- Stop action with my usual Bench Dog Push Stick/arm.
For wide cuts where you had more room, it would be fine. Narrow rips where I'm using the force behind my Bench Dog Push Arm, that would be a problem..... [crying]

With the router table guides I actually used a push stick on the side to push a narrow piece through. The way shown in the Bench Dog picture. That Bench Dog one with the offset handle would be ideal combined with the Jessem router  table guides.
