Jessem Mast-R-Lift Excel II

Does anyone have any experience with the Jessem Mast-R-Lift Excel II router top and lift? I'm thinking of taking the plunge and buying one but I would like to see what other FOG members have to say. Cheers.

I have the lift in my kreg router table with the Incra Cleansweep and Jessem Clear-cut stock guides.  Fixing to upgrade to the Incra LS super 25 w/incra top.  All incra and Jessem products are great.

I've had the original Jessum Mast-R-Lift for more than 8 years, and I have nothing but GREAT things to say for the company and their products. Don't hesitate!

I have been using the Jessem for about 3 years now and love it. i think the whole Jessem set up is the best out there.

Great table and set up.
You are welcome to come by and try it out.
Unfortunately I don't think they sell the unit with the Milwaukee router anymore, but it's still a great set up.
For the price though I would be seriously looking at the Festool table.

For the price though I would be seriously looking at the Festool table.

I do agree out that this table is not that much upto level. Jessem table has reported many issues in the past. Due to its ergogenic size and fixed based router, its not fitting into my house. Its 0.75 rugged track handles are causing chaos and my router isn't working perfectly. Instead of this you can choose another Router table like Kreg table or Portable Cable 98.

Agree with the Kaira, as she is saying that this router table is too old to use. Due to great dimensions I have used Rebel 2000 as it has extreme sturdy legs and clear plastic guard. From the aluminium insert it has right and perfect table

I have the Incra version of the Mast-R-Lift II, which I purchased to replace an old Bench Dog lift.  Jessem produces the Incra lift, and as far as I can tell, it is identical to the Mast-R-Lift II with one significant exception.  The Jessem version uses plastic insert plates, removed by a spanner tool.  Jessem's Incra version uses metallic inserts held down with magnets, which I prefer.  If you purchase or build (as I did with plywood scraps) a dust collection box to assist with below-table dust collection, you can buy slotted metallic inserts from Incra that significantly diminish the amount of debris created when routing dados, etc.  There are 3-4 boxes on the market that perform this function, but they are somewhat pricey.  Although I have never used the Jessem Excel version which I believe has the side wheel, I have been very pleased with the Jessem/Incra lift.  Compared to my old Bench Dog lift, it is a dream to use.  Very precise and easy to dial in exact bit heights.

I do agree out but the Incorporates JessEm Mast-R-Lift Excel II has chamber switch engines 32" x 24" phenolic table with aluminum expelled miter track and T-track. With expelled aluminum switch table fence with completely flexible fence faces and Inflexible hardcore steel remain with upper and lower stretchers. I’ve been using the Incra Mast-R-Lift II (by JessEm), coupled with a Porter Cable 3 1/4 hp router for over 2 years now, with no problems. It’s a very well built lift; easy to adjust the height and the lift maintains the set position. What I appreciate the most is not having to bend under the table top to adjust the router height; I should have made the conversion years ago.

I decided to build my own router table top to take the place of the right wing of the table saw. I purchased the Incra TS-LS fence system, with the router fence attachments. By incorporating an additional set of rail position stops, I can quickly relocate the positioner for use with either the table saw or the router.

To address the dust issue: I built a dust collection box that slides under the table top. It has an access panel in the front of the box. A 4″ diameter dust collection hose attaches to the back of the box. A branch connector allows for a 2″ hose to split off and connect to the Incra router fence. The dust collection is great; and eliminated another reason I resisted using my previous router table.

The collection box also provides for saw blade storage. The blades are stored in trays which slide between the vertical walls, under the collection box. Two other items you may want to consider, 1) an after-market router chuck to eliminate the use of chuck wrenches, and 2) a foot operated on/off switch to control the router. It feels much more secure having both hands on your work piece, rather then reaching for a switch. Also incorporate a service switch or be able to easily unplug your router for bit changes.
