On Christmas morning this past year (2015) I proposed to my girlfriend of two and a half years. A few months after we met she sent me a picture of a wall mounted jewelry cabinet she saw on Pinterest. Finally, I made it for her. I left room for added storage solutions upon her request. This was how I proposed to here.

Way cool!  You clearly know the way to a woman's heart.

A very large shoe cabinet would get there faster!  LOL  [eek]

Seriously, really nice job and a great way to propose.  Thanks for sharing.

Date that question, and clear seal over it  [wink]

She's actually mulling over the idea of sealing it. I signed the inside left of the cabinet with a short phrase and dated it.

Yes haha it would for most women. She's more into fitness stuff though as opposed to shoes. Next up will be a wall rack for her gear.

Nice work but you might have to cut down on the Festool if you want to fill up all that space with jewellery.

Hard to tell the size but I made my late wife something that seems similar, maybe the same.  The face was a full height mirror in a new frame I made.  The box was plywood (Baltic birch) set between the studs of the wall.  About two thirds of the inside were drawers with dividers of either maple or walnut.  The face of the drawers was lightly figured maple.  At the top there were pegs to hang necklaces.  It was in the wall behind her sink.  She used it every day.
