Can all the blades marked 'trion' be used in the new Carvex 420 or should I replace them with ones marked Carvex. Is there a difference.
(Festool France have very kindly changed my 400 for a 420 and it came with two blades marked Carvex)
Thanks in advance.
Richard

Well, the Carvex-marked blades seem to be a bit thicker or non-tapered than the Trion marked ones (S75/4 FSG). I don't have a 420 so don't know how much it really makes a difference but you might want to do a few test cuts and let us all know does the new old-style blade guide make a difference with the old Trion marked blades as well and maybe even throw in some off-brand blades too to see if deflection is reduced.

Richard, I would recommend using the Carvex-marked blades, but since we don't have the new blades here and I've not seen any information on them, I can't give good advice. Maybe reaching out to Festool France would be a good option. They should be able to give you a good recommendation. If you do, please follow up here for everyone's benefit. Thanks.

Thanks Shane. (And thanks for your part in eventually getting my Carvex sorted)
Festool France, who I must also thank for their generous help and good service, replied straight away, to say the Trion blades will work OK.
Hope to get cutting tomorrow.
Regards,
Richard
