Jigsaw Table

I have a Bosch jigsaw that wasn't getting much usage so I thought it might be more beneficial being turned into a jigsaw table.  I took inspiration from JSK-koubou and also took advantage of the DF500 and the DF500 Connector Set that I had.  This ended up being good practice for using the DF500 Connectors and the table itself proved its usefulness.

I have an older Bosch, I think a 1582 VS with all the attachments including a nice little aluminum table the the saw can be inserted to upside down and clamped to a horizontal edge.  I still use it occasionally, not sure why Festool does not make something similar for site work.

They did make something similar, it was an insert for the CMS system.

Safety regulations regarding switched power tools not restarting if they're in the "on" position when applying power is what did in the CMS in Europe.  Most of those inserts didn't find their way to the US/NA market, but some did.

With the Bosch “inversion table” no specific table was required. It could clamp to the side of any table or board.

If you're going to go that route why not throw a little more money at it and get something with a bigger table and more features. Can a hand-held jig saw inverted under a small steel plate clamped to the side of your bench be better than this? Never use done but I have seen them in Lowes and will admit it's not a real quality tool but I think it's way better than that Wolfcraft 'table'.

I've always wanted to own that unit. The CMS insert itself can be found and purchased with a medium amount of effort but the belt sanders were never available anywhere in 120V. From my standpoint, that's the major issue for me not purchasing the sander. Ya I know you can use 240V extension cords, but if I'm at a friend or family house and I need to use that belt sander, I'll need to start with a 240V extension cord in the basement that's probably plugged into the dryer circuit. The convenience factor was just always a game changer.

Yes but since it's NLA doesn't help too many today.

Before I would use any jig saw inverted with the Wolfcraft table I would pay 2.5x more and get something 4x better.
