I don't think I am going to get the Carvex.  I don't a jigsaw that often, and I don't want to have to buy a separate base to do angled cuts.  So I am considering the PS 300 and the Bosch JS470EB (I can currently get a deal for less than $120 USD on the Bosch).  I think they have similar characteristics.  Anyone with experiences with both?

I have the JS470EB, I like it a lot. I wish it had some of the features of its bigger brother, the 572, like an LED and tool-less base adjustment, but it works great for me.

One gripe about the Trion/PS300 jigsaw, is that there is no steel baseplate insert available. Bosch jigsaws either had a steel base, or a cast base with a plastic insert that could be switched for a steel one for people who cut large quantities of metal, or use their jigsaw for rough work. When I first purchased my Trion I figured there would be an insert available like on the Bosch jigsaws and was suprised there wasn't,

Festool fixed this with the carvex by making an attachable steel baseplate, but has never gone back and fixed the issue for the Trion.

I purchased the js572 and it's an awesome saw.  It has a built in led light that's very helpful and the dust collect is pretty good.
