Job Site Table Saw

Hi,

I am a cabinetmaker with a shop and a Laguna Fusion III tablesaw.  From time to time I have a need for a jobsite saw for installs, site work, etc.  Trying to decide between the Festool CSC cordless and the two Sawstop job site saws.  I can’t see using the job site saws in my shop.  Perhaps I would use the CSC in shop due to its ease of use and precision.  Any thoughts ?

Saw tilt.  CSC tilts fence-ward, but can backbevel 1deg.  Sawstop is the standard out-tilt.  Can come into being when you're back bevelling filler strips in the field, as the sawstop can be more aggressive (eg 5deg) esp if you're dealing with typical NS walls.

Must say though, for the brief time I had the CSC, it felt nice and wasn't a chore to pull out/put back.  The sled dip was my annoyance but for pieces that span the bed, it's a non-issue.  I took a quick look at the CTS at Lee Valley and it's got a dip on the left side too, so par for the course.

For occasional job-site use, I'd root for the SawStop 10" Compact Table Saw because of the finger-saving feature.
