Jointer Accident --- WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES

I seldom use the dado cutter now, as I have found ways to avoid using it:

1) Domino joinery eliminates the need for dadoes -- totally.
2) Rabbets (e.g., for a cabinet back) are either replaced with grooves, or cut using the Veritas Skew Rabbet plane.

When I do cut rabbets with the dado cutter on the table saw, I always do it with the aid of the Jessem stock guides:

Liked the Jessem rollers.. seems to be something that works and are useful, if not to say a lot safer than not having them..
I like the rabbet planes also, have been thinking of getting one, I like manual tools. Damn, I thought my other hobbies where expensive - it’s nothing compared to diving into finer woodworking  [scared] and I had loads of woodworking tools from before too  [eek]
