A few of you mentioned the Jointer in the cabinet thread, so here it is as I was setting it up just after rebuild. It is an 1888 S.A Woods 16 "

Does the fence mount to the infeed or out feed on that machine?

Don't see too many of the old SA Woods stuff.

No Jack, not even when it was new (125 yrs ago). I have a copy of the original sales catalog.

Ghostfist, alot of lumber has been over it since that video, large and small.

No power feed? It looks like it's in great shape, did you recondition it?

Thanks Tim,
I don't think I would ever put a power feed on a jointer, I know some do, but I'm not doing that large of volume, and I like the control (or illusion of control [tongue]) of hand fed. Yes, when I bought it, it was a rusty boat anchor, but it cleaned up well.
