Just ordered the CMS

Hey guys.
I just ordered the CMS-OF 2200 and TS 75. I have a job building wall panels in my friend's new old house - and that pays for the CMS setup. I've read a lot about the pros and cons of the system - and I'm looking forward to make my own experiences with it now.

Also, my Festools have been living under my bed - SYS-BED - and my MFT have been living in a custom set of drawers I built - with shallow drawers to allow the MFT to slide in behind them from a door in the side. We live in a 500 sqf apartment (47 sqm) in the middle of Copenhagen - and I carry my tools from the fourth floor to the basement or the car everytime I have to use them - which is everyday these days... But no more!

We've just bought a house in Elsinore north of Copenhagen - and you guessed it - it has a garage for my Festools to live in! No more carrying! We take over the house july 1st - and I will post some pictures of my new workshop in Hamlet's town - where I was born.

Anyway - as I have been craving the CMS for a few years, I felt like sharing this monumental moment with you guys.

Now, I'll go wait for the delivery guy by the door. Shouldn't be more than a couple of days...

D.

Congratulations, David. I envy you :) I have my eye on a OF-CMS set up, but need to save up a bit, regretfully.

I'm not sure how your partner is going to feel about the fact that the SYS-BED will need to be in the garage with the tools [scared] [big grin]

Congrats on the purchase and on the move [wink]

My wife and I are contemplating a move out of Sydney in the near future ... change is good, but it can be daunting.

Yeah,  Kev,  it's pretty daunting moving out of the city but I welcome the change. Just looking forward to getting all of the paperwork done,  so we can start enjoying the house. And yeah,  I'm not sure where the sys-bed is going the be - but maybe I can build a new one for my girlfriend,  so I can keep it in the garage... Good for those late night work sessions as well...

Awesome David
Congrats on the House and the upcoming move. Nothing like living in the country. I hope to do the same in the next year or two.

Get the LA fence for the CMS if you can afford it, much better than the standard fence it comes with. Make some featherboards or get some for the TS75 in it too. Good luck and hope to see some projects in the coming months!

Congratulations on both. You're embarking on a major journey. When I saw Elsinore I was taken back to my sophomore year in high school and a great English teacher. When she said she had not gone to the movies in a long time, I said she should really go, they talk now. She did not request I leave, she laughed. Best of luck with the tools and your new home.

Congratulations!  Let us know how you like it.  I have been looking at getting one.  Need to make some $$$ first.

Thanks guys. Yeah,  I've been looking at the LA fence,  and I might upgrade to that at some point.
I imagine a lot of people have read about Elsinore and something rotten in the state of Denmark,  but hopefully in a few months I can show you some pictures of my new shop, some pictures of Elsinore - and some impressions of the cms...

For now I'm still waiting for the delivery guy...
