kabex blade arbor

I have been wondering if anyone has considered coming up with an adapter to use a 5/8 arbor hole blade on a Kapex. The reason I ask is, it would be nice to use the same blades on both my table saw and miter saw.
Any suggestions let me know.    Chris

This part does exist.  Just be aware that you should use blades with a negative hook angle on a sliding mitre saw.  Most table saw blades have a positive hook angle.

Just curious, why would you want to use the sme blades on a table saw and miter saw? Are you exclusively cross cutting with your table saw?

My suggestion: put a ripping or combination blade on your tablesaw, and stick to cross cutting blades on your Kapex. Buy two spare blades for each machine so you'll always have a blade on the saw, a sharp blade in reserve, and the third blade out for sharpening.

Also, keep in mind that the Kapex is designed for 10.25" blades, I doubt a stock 10" blade would work properly, never mind that you'd have to bore the arbor of your stock 10" blade to 30mm, then use a 30mm-->5/8" bushing when used on a tablesaw.

Maybe you coud get by in a pinch using the Kapex blade on the table saw, however I'd never...ever try using the table saw blade on the Kapex. [scared]  Like others have pointed out, positive hook vs negative hook.

FWIW [member=2726]Tom Gensmer[/member], I had an absolutely new 10" Forrest Signature blade with a 5/8" bore. I contacted Forrest and asked if they would rebore the Signature blade to 30mm so that it would fit my Kapex.

Tony Ferrato from Forrest Technical Sales & Service replied, and I quote "Your machine was designed for a 260mm blade I think that is what you should purchase."

I have a couple 10" blades that i use on my kapex.  No big deal.

I don't think an undersized blade would be a problem.  I used smaller blades on my RAS with no problem.  i would be more concerned about the positive hooked blades on the miter saw. I know Darcy has said elsewhere that is not a problem.  I am sure he is right, but for myself, I would be concerned.

I think having the different center bore is a good way to keep sorted

Thanks for all the comments: First let me say that I am only a hobbyist who sometimes does work for friends,definitely not a professional.  I have had excellent results with the Diablo blades by freud. Which can be had for  around 40.00 for a 10 inch blade and are readily available whereas the metric blades are significantly more expensive and not readily available.
  As for the size difference ,for me that is no problem. Right now I have a 7.25 inch blade on the table saw which cuts maple plywood equally as well as the kapex blade which is a festool. In addition when the 7.25 blade gets dull. I just trash it and get another out. I do not have to spend 2 hrs going to and from the sharpening shop, not to mention the $15.00 for the cost of sharpening.
  As was said Keep one  blade in the saw and a spare. For me to keep what will end up as 300.00 in saw blades is just not practical.  Once again thanks for your input    Chris

I forgot to mention that I use negative hook blades on both my saws, the only time I use positive hook is for ripping heavy stock.
