Kapex 120 EB cannot plunge blade

Hello, I have older Kapex 120 EB. Blade was increasingly difficult to plunge, now it won't plunge cut. Blade runs normally. Checked for debris that may hinder plunge. Removed blade, started normally but still cannot plunge. Any thoughts? Thanks.

You may have inadvertently done something with the fixtures for making shallow cuts (right side: thin knob and thereabouts). That will lock it if the thin knob has been turned to its extreme.

Per above, you probably have the depth limiter engaged (shown in red below). Push up to free the saw head.

You might also try lubricating the area noted and all pivot points of the "arm".

I made should all user knobs were in proper posiition and heavily dry lubed all pivot points. Now works. Thanks for your help.

On the head lift spring use garage door lube. It is a redundant torsion spring, same as torsion garage door springs.
