Kapex and blades

I was just wondering if anyone thinks a thin kerf blade would put less stress on kapex motor over standard blade plus compromise quality of cut? Didn’t know were to post this.

A thinner kerf would be removing less material so it would put less load on the motor, sure.

Would it affect dust collection? I don't think so.

Would it affect the quality of the cut? I suppose that depends on whether the blade bends or deflects as a result of being thinner.

I'm sure others with more knowledge than me will chime in.
