When i got my TS55 last year i used Trend craft pro blades. All were good and lasted well, for the price of them on ebay - around £11/£13 i treated them as throw away blades.
I then tried a CMT 48t blade and was not impressed with it, paid about 11 quid for it. The quality of cut was not as good as the Trend blades. After cutting some walnut treads and maybe 10 rips of ply, i stopped using it. It was struggling to cut ply and was also burning it.
So i popped in my original unused 48t festool blade in, and after using it i went onto order the standard 28t and then the panther blade.
I doubt i will use anything but the festool blades now. One of the lads i'm working with commented on the standard blade - saying how it flew through ripping some walnut and that he couldn't hear the blade as it cut. [smile]
