I apologize if this idea has already been posted.
Somewhere I saw quick clamps being used through the holes in an MFT to anchor the Kapex and I remembered there were also several dog holes on my Workmate. The system worked great. Obviously no side supports, but the height was good and my Workmate just found another purpose.
