Kapex angle finder - doesn't seem to line up for me.

I tried this for the first time and I had a heck of a time getting the laser to line up with it. I thought maybe my laser's out but I checked and it seems to follow the line perfectly when making cuts and the saw is cutting true. Any ideas?

Also , any hits on cleaning the Kapex? I'm a bit anal about these thigs but I'm cutting a lot of MDF and even with the CT, there's lots of that nice fine MDF powder. I was wondering if there are any parts that shouls be removed for a thorough cleaning

I have not had any issues with mine.  All I do is set the angle finder on the base and adjust the angle until it lines up with the dashed lines on the angle finder.  Sometimes you have to move the angle finder but it should stay tight against the fence.  I hope this helps because I'm not sure of any other way to explain it.

I'm going to play around with it a bit more. Seems like no matter how I line it up the laser lines don't run exactly parallell to the angle finder centre line, which to me would mean the laser was off but it seems to be square to the fence and cuts perfect angles with the blade tracking the laser correctly. I'll go through the laser calibration per the supplemental manual and see if it's exactly on. Thanks

Are you sliding the Angle Finder left or right along the fence to meet the blade as it angles?

You need to move the angle finder AND the miter table so that the lines on the finder lines up with the laser
