Mitering or coping inside miters on cabinetry is definitely personal preference. I tend to miter inside cuts since the inside angles tend to be a constant, so there is very little need to use an angle finder or to cope. Especially with prefinished materials, it just looks a cleaner, and is a bit faster in my opinion.
Bur with room crown, I'm starting to make the switch to coping instead of mitering. But that might change once I either get the kapex or an angle finder.
