Kapex bevel

I've been using my kapex bevel (angle finder) this week and it's nearly new. Anyway the sliding aluminium arms were quite stiff but now one of them is so loose it just slides out and falls off while you're using it.

Anyone else found this

Yep got same problem. No idea of the fix but it's a PIA.  [mad]

Especially as I've only used the thing twice not good for something that costs £80 if bought separately. Thought about putting tape on it or something.

Tried it the tape wears out and it starts falling off again. Thought about crimping the extrusion but , know me I would  b,,,,r it up  [crying]

To date the Kapex is the only Festool Ive ever returned during the 30 day period. besides the limited size of the blade the bevel tool fell apart on mine as well. I thought it was a good saw but for 600 dollars less I could get a comparable saw that was more job site rugged than the Kapex. I had my doubts with it the first two weeks, but after that bevel gauge broke I sent it back. For $1400 us dollars it should be more rugged and have a bigger blade.

I like the saw , just can't believe the bevel falls apart so easily , unless I have a duff one
