Kapex deck height/SYS1

Just got my Kapex yesterday.  Box and a lot of styrofoam is messed up but so far saw is fine.  If I had to send this back at any time I assume I have to keep/repair this box/foam?

Real question.  I understood the height of a SYS 1 was same as Kapex table height to support longer stock.  Unless I am missing something, thats not what I see.

deck height - 108 mm
top 2 bottom of SYS 1 - 105 mm
top 2 bottom, plus feet - 117 mm

I’m fairly certain I read it’s the older Sys 1 and not the newer ones which surprises me since Festool is really good about all this integration and engineering.

You know it’s a system right ?  And Festool only brings out new stuff when they can improve on it.

..........except when it’s not.  And they don’t    :-\
