I was having a problem with my Kapex in that it left a very small sliver of wood connecting the two pieces of wood after making a cut, whether making a 90 degree cut or some other angle. I sent Festool a note, and received a prompt reply which I post below on the chance that someone else has this problem. It was easily rectified, and I was unable to find anything in my Kapex manual about the fix. Forgive me if this has already been discussed - I could not find anything when I did a search.

"There is an adjustment for the traveling depth of the blade.
A large hex bolt head on the right side top to the left of the locking knob and dado lever.
The wrench for the blade bolt fits that bolt head.Move that bolt ? turn CCW then see where the blade settles. Then Clockwise if that is not the right direction. Always check for total clearance of blade versus frame casting by moving the carriage forward and back to make sure that the blade does not get too close to the bottom of the blade trough. There is about an extra ? ? of room down there for blade travel."
