Kapex dies again

Kapex dies again. Getting tired of this second time in 3 years. How do you know if it’s the armature I may fix it myself.
 
Not too long ago, someone posted an instructions PDF(?) on how to replace the armature. You can search it in the Forum and contact him, if no one can give you the answer if your problem is with the armature.

Curious what you're using the Kapex on? Construction lumber or lighter faire?
 
Contact Festool.

They know this is a prob with some models issued during certain time frames, they just won't say it out loud.

But if you abused the crap out of it...I'm not sure what may entail.
 
After all my ranting yesterday I settled down and phoned Festool Canada service. Talked to Dominic in service and pointed out that my motor has a 5 year warranty so I’m still covered. Sending in today. I am still without a saw for a week on a major job with deadlines. Thumbs up to Dominic he is a very patient man dealing with me. Will post again when saw comes back.
