Kapex fence problems

Has anyone had problems removing the sliding part of the Kapex fence? A couple of months ago the left hand fence jammed on, the only way i could remove it was batter it with a hammer on a block of timber. I then had to file bits of it away to make it fit again  [scared] [scared]
  Now the same thing has happened on the right hand side, filing it away is just to say making  it go on and off but its scrapping along badly..

A few people noticed issues early on in the Kapex introductions.  Any sort of sawdust can cause the issue, some have noticed metal filings.  I didn't have the issue but I took mine off and lubricated with graphite just in case.

Did you make sure the lock screws are removed ?

It has galled. Call service, you will need the left and right fences and the fence yoke. Been there, fixed that. The one I repaired was under warranty so they sent me the parts at no charge.

Thanks Tom...That sounds like what the problem is.. I have contacted Festool Uk, i will see what they say..
