Kapex fence question

I am a relatively new user of Kapex even though i have had the saw for many months.

My fence has a slight bow, like many others have reported. I could make an insert and joint the insert, but I wondered if anybody has been able to pull the fence square with some pressure, and if so, if the setting stayed.

My fence has 4 bolts.

While at a Festool road show, I mentioned that I had a bent fence unit to a Festool employ. He suggested sending the bowed fence unit (only one of the two was bent) to Festool through my store.

I did so and received a replacement. The new one was straight.

One incident does not establish a policy so I cannot say you would have the same results.

Festool either adjusted it or replaced it when i sent it in for service. It still has the issue, maybe not as bad as before, but something I would still like to fix if possible.

I seem to recall that some here have had the fence correct itself after loosening the screws on the side most rear-ward.  On some it seems that the factory tightening may have moved that side out of position.  I know that some here have straightened their fences without sending them in.

My Kapex is going in for fence replacement.  It appears that the fence, part no. 470620, does not have two parallel continuous sides.  I experienced kickback and non-square cuts which lead me to find the problem.  I first used a square to between the fence and the blade and found that the blade was not square to either side of the fence.  I then placed two different straight edges across the bottom of the fence and found that there was a gap between the edge and the center of the fence.  This means that the center portion of the fence (near the blade) is inward of the outer portion of the fence, making the overall angle across the fence less than 180 degrees.  Since it is less than 180, the blade will pinch and kick. 
I know Festool service will make it right.

The Kapex I had purchased had a fence like this. Furthermore, neither side stood plumb -- and the two sides differed in the amount that they were out. After performing the five-cut method to obtain some numbers, I found that it was within Festool's acceptable specs. Wasn't acceptable for me, so I elected to return the saw.

I think that Festool needs to do a better job of quality control with these saws. These issues aren't new, and really should have been addressed long ago.
