Hi all,
I just picked up the KSC 60.
I like much about it but two things are issues. One there are no detents on the bevel adjustment at the back (which isn’t a deal breaker but I’d like to have 22.5° for scarf joints. The other bigger issue for me is the saw won’t accept material thicker than 3/4” at a 45° when making bevel cuts on the right side. This means I have to flip my board if making bevel cuts on both sides (rather than sliding the board.
And two, I have to precut your board with a straight cut (so there’s little overhanging material to make the 45° cut and fit under the saw. As I said it’s fine with 3/4” material but with 5/4” it’s a real issue. Has anyone run up against this? Have a solution I’m not thinking of?
