Dear all,

A small question about my Kapex. I noticed this issue a couple of months ago, but never gave any follow up on it. It seems that there is a small gap between a straight piece (in this example I'v used a leveler) and the fence. If I push the leveler all the way back to the fence, then in the middle; a sligthly bigger getting gap emerges. It's like the fence is off in the middle and has moved towards the back end of the saw.

Any thoughts on this? Can this be solved by finetuning the Kapex somehow? Or do I need a new fence?

Thanks in advance for the effort.

The Kapex fence can be adjusted to some extent. I would recommend that you contact Festool NL for assistance.

Well, within 48 hours reporting on my question starting this post...

I contacted Festool NL yesterday in the morning and sent the same two pictures that I posted here. The guy on the other end of the mail straight away acknowledged that I had problem and offered me a choice; either I could send my complete Kapex, or he could send the bended part. The latter was agreed and just now I installed my new, spot-on and very straight, main fence.

Festool keeps surprising in service and virtue. [smile] [smile] [smile]

Is this something that happens in transit or just a faulty part, if the latter maybe festool should train there quality control like they do the service guys
