I just thought it was just me when I noticed that my Kapex bogs down just cutting 1 inch stock at a 45.  No smoke, but noticeable slowdown of the blade.  Before and after the piece is cut, there is no cupping or twisting or crooking.  It's been that way since I've had it, plugged into the vac and directly to the wall.  What could be wrong?  I bought my Kapex in 2009.

What do you guys think?

I think that's the nature of the beast.  I own 2 of them and they are simply under powered.  German engineering is great.  They thought of everything but forgot the motor.  LOL.

How wide?  Which blade?

It shouldn't bog down on that at all with a reasonable feed rate and sharp blade, is the blade sharp and has the saw run lots of hours? Mine i from 2007 and i had it rebuilt last year new engine and other cosmetic stuff. It's like brand new again because even though the brushes were fine, the engine was worn and would heat up and bog down if i used it too long.

I have the stock 60t, an Oshlun 80 and a Tenryu 80.  Cutting 1x12 skirts at a 46 degree bevel kills all of them.  I was cutting 6.5" maple crown the other day (6/4 thickness) and it was not happy.  Love the saw its just weak in this department.
