Kapex Needing Adjustment

I just purchased a Kapex 120 Miter Saw. I cut some 45 degree angles and they were off several degrees. I was really surprised that it needed adjustment from the factory. Is this a common issue?

Thanks!

BTW this is my first Festool product and I'm new to the FOG.

Thanks. I have downloaded the supplemental manual and have made an adjustment and now have the 45 angles looking pretty good. I have yet to do the 5 cut test. I will do this next!

My question, is adjustment necessary on all miter saws and this is normal. Or was something "bumped" out of alignment on my saw?

My 2 cents is that any power tool may need adjustment once it goes through shipping . At any rate, enjoy your new saw and post some pics of your work when you get a chance.

Agree....

Miter saws, table saws, drill presses, router tables, jointers, pretty much any tool that uses some sort of indexing like fences and tables need to be at least checked to verify 'true' function and adjusted if necessary regardless of factory sets.

This also allows one to become familiar with the tool functions and adjustments.

Mine was fairly close out of the box, but nothing like a few degrees.  More like .5 off.
