Well this week we used our new kapex on site for the first time.  It was a delight :).  I especially enjoyed the crown.  Thanks to "builderbob" for the crown stop design.  I shamelessly borrowed it:). I really like having the T track brackets from multiblades.com. The entire system worked fantastic.  The  Festool system has helped our cabinetry business improve in many ways.

That looks fantastic!  It's like you came to my house and templated my jig!  I love it!  Really glad it worked out for you!

That looks awesome. I'm about to rip bb's design also. +1 for multiblades

Thank you for this thread...I couldn't remeber who I stole that stop idea from...thanks Bob! I had a bunch of flat crown to install this week and whipped up a quick one of those stops. Perfect miters every time!

With the Multiblade crown stops, the measurement on the UG Extensions will be off.  So, what's the added distance does the multiblade add to the measurement?  Do you permanently keep the multiblades on or remove them when not cutting crown?

I removed the metric tapes and replaced them with kreg imperial tapes. (since the picture was taken. See my post called "Efficient. Mobile. Kapex." for a video and pictures since it's been changed) Now with the multiblades extensions on the measuments are correct and in inches.

Question on the UG Extensions- do you use them only on site or do you use them in your shop as well?  My Kapex rarely leaves the shop- I have a dedicated bench for it now but wondering if this is better option in order to save space.  Thanks.

Regards,
Gerald

A search of this site will return lots of idea for a saw station.  We use the extensions on site and a mobile cart in the shop.  Search for Efficient. Mobile. Kapex to see my post on this.

Great!  Thank You- that looks to be just what I need.  Appreciate the effort on the video and all the pictures!

Regards,
Gerald

Awesome, I wondered whos imperial tape would work on the UG wings.  Now I just have no excuses. [embarassed]
