Rob,

Whereas you posted your tool for sale in the classifieds and probably want to maximize your cost recoup, I might suggest that posts like this which continue to highlight everything you dislike about the KAPEX on your posts both here and elsewhere aren't going to help you sell your Kapex either quicker or for what you want for it.

Perhaps I am just posting out the obvious but just in case.

From Rob in Vancouver, just yesterday, on a different Kapex thread:

Ask Festool / Re: Kapex Recall?

Yes I agree
Let's move on from this thread it's run its course.
I'm sure everyone who wanted to vent has vented....

Guess not

Guys
Thanks for your input.
Yesterday was a different thread and different topic.

What I love most about this forum is how everyone's opinion and experiences can be shared out in the open.

It's fantastic really......

True. At any rate Rob, good luck with your sale and I hope you enjoy whatever SCMS you choose as a replacement.

Rob

Glad to note that you are letting go. Living in fear of the unknown can be debilitating. I used to have a Land Rover that drove me to the same point. I had to sell it, for similar reasons. I bought a Honda Element and have put 135k miles on it. I've been much happier and healthier, and I no longer sneer at Land Rovers when I see them on the road. I wish you an expeditious sale and a stress free new year!

I wonder how the stats might have changed over the last months with owners that reported no issues?

Had to chuckle because of who posted in this thread back in 2009 (#101 I believe).

The twists and turns of this topic are amazing, hope it all gets figured out.

Im glad there are forums like this because it has stopped me from buying the Kapex. The millwuake seems a more reliable saw to me. I just wish I waited when i bought the new festool T15+3 lithium drill to see if it has faults. Which I it has and I was the tester. Two brand new drills both stoped working within a month.

FWIW...My 6 year old Kapex  is still going.
