Kapex Revision History?

Hi All,

I have a line on a used Kapex that I might be interested in. Talking to the original owner, it seems like it might be from the first year or two of production (and is a US 110v model)

I've ready plenty about the motor issues on this forum.

My question is: Has this saw gone through any design or engineering changes (minor, or major) over the years? Would one bought brand new today be different in any tangible/noticeable way (visually or hidden) than those made during the first year or two.

That's a great question I have wondered as well. Is it like a new truck where they make total redesigns every 5 years but tweak things along the way each year that need improvement? Hopefully a Festool employee will chime in. I am looking to buy one but have been hesitant with the issues mentioned on this forum. If they constantly tweak things, I'd feel much better about the purchase.

There have no significant changes.  Minor service parts, but nothing to report.
