Kapex Station

Very nice. I like the portability of it being on wheels. Looks like you need to build another sys port for all those systainers parked on top!

That is so nice! Does the dust extractor hose exit out the back?  I can't tell from the picture.

I like it. Great work. And so tidy!  [eek] [big grin]

As I want to build something similar in the future, could you please publish some measurements. Don't worry if they are Imperial, I can convert to Metric!  [smile]

Yes I have a 1 1/2 hole in the rear of the center cabinet that I cut and rounded over for all the hoses and plugs  The 35mm hose was cut down to right at 7' as well.

The overall size is 100 1/2" by 24" using 3/4 inch plywood (18mm) and the unit is 42" high.  (I am 6'4" so I built this for my back)  I will pull my hand drawing and provide the individual sizes for the Sysports units.

8 - fully locking heavy duty casters
10 - Festool sysdrawers
4 - sheets 3/4 18mm plywood
1 - sheet 3/4 MDF
7 - 5.5 x 8 popular dimensional lumber

I used the 32mm system for marking out and drilling the sysport.  It was my first time using the new tool and wow what a faster solution!

Thanks everyone for the kind words

You can usually tell when a guy caught the Festool bug.......when he post a pic and all his systainers are T-Locs.    [tongue]  [poke]

Just having some fun man.    Well done.  I like the touch of green on the vertical divider.

Drawers on top for the Kreg flip stops and miscellaneous items?

Oh yes I totally have the bug!  I love the dust collection that Festool provides.

Actually the top are both torsion boxes and I use the Rockler t track (24") and Rockler fence system (32") with the Rockler flip down.  I went with torsion to ensure I could make the top dead flat.  This allowed me to buy a new Woodpecker 32" SERX ruler which I used to make sure the tops are true flat.

I wedged the Kapex up to a playing card  higher then the two torsion boxes.

Overall this was a fun project and I plan on starting the MFT/3 Bench which will house the rest of my systainers and an assembly table where I will be storing all my Bosch tools.

I know these things are utilitarian, buts nice to see some colour rather than huge seas of beige
thanks for posting

That's a great design and nice collection of Systainers.  I like the higher height to reduce back strain.

Aren't those Sys-AZ drawers great for getting organized quickly!

Thanks for sharing -
