Kapex table flatness tolerance

Good day, new to the Group and first time posting,
A quick question, does anyone know if the Kapex table supposed to be flat? just purchased mine and when is at right 60* i have 0.005" gap on the right. I have read some earlier posts but not a conclusion.

Hiya, welcome to the forum.

1/10  mm? It's not metal working, you do understand that right  ?  Nothing will be 0.0000, if you "zoom" in enough. KAPEX, already expensive, will cost 10x to get it that flat... [blink] Whatever wood you cut, it will work more than 1/10 of a mm...

I have a Kapex on order so I have been doing the YouTube thing to find out as much as possible.  I found one video where this guy really took it apart and measured things.  He showed his table not flat and went through some gyrations to fix it.  Not something I would do but I had wanted to post this to the group and get opinions.  The point in question is around the 4:30 mark.

As long as the cuts come out fine (mine do), don't over worry about the table flatness.

A tolerance of 0.005'' is acceptable in woodworking and will not prevent you from making the finest pieces you can imagine.

Use the 4-cut method to check that your saw cuts square.

I had used a 1200 grit stone on mine to get it a bit flatter.
But the amount you have. I wouldn’t bother.

My experience is that the MFT tops sag over time. I flip mine when they sag. I don't do anything that depends on the tops being flat.

The one place where the lack of flatness can create issues is on cutting small pieces.  It helps to make a wooden zero clearance throat insert that is level with the plane of the saw bed to minimize any wonkiness with the vertical angle on short cuts.
