Kapex - tighten/lock bevel position?

While using the Kapex, at some point, the bevel slips about a degree out of square.  I know I should check before I use but now it's become a weird thing mentally and I'm always worried it's not zero'd.

Is there a way to tighten the bevel so it rotates les easily?

The Kapex may just be my favorite tool in the shop, I'd like it to stay that way.

Thanks.

...and, After reading the manual, I was reminded that there's a bevel lock lever.

Side note: what a clever way to hide an adjustment mechanism.  I trust forgot it even existed.

Must have released it at some point and not fully re-engaged it.  It looked in the down position but must not have been down enough.  Problem solved.

Can't delete the thread so I'll leave it for others who find this silly mistake as well.

Then the Kapex is still your favorite after all?  [unsure] [wink]

Mine just arrived today and I've got it all set up and waiting for tomorrow's trial run. I guess I'll be double checking all the controls before I have a go at it.  [tongue]

It is, in fact, still my favorite.  Congrats on the purchase, you're gonna dig it.

I was hoping you would say that!  [wink]

And thanks, I hope to feel the same way about my new saw soon too!  [big grin]

My wife came downstairs to see the new saw after it was setup on the UG Cart with Extensions. She liked it immediately and later said that she could see it was a quality product and that she was glad I bought it. I guess she's already making her honey-do list...  [scared]

Congrats Corwin!  I have to admit that I thought you were one of the early owners.  Have fun with the whole kit.
