Kapex Ug stand Speed Test - 4 WOODGUY

This UG-KA Kapex setup versus the MFT/3 KAPEX and older wing setup plus the TS75 versus the TS55 debate will most likely outlive this forum.  This reminds me of that Simpsons episode.  Gather all of the strong opinionated people on here (I guess that would wind up including me), strap us in chairs and whenever someone voices their "better" choice, the rest of us get to push the button and zap them.  [big grin]  Think of all the fun we'd have with JMB lighting up like a Christmas tree every 7 seconds.  ;D [eek]

True.

That said, I like Festool stuff because it all fits into a system...usually. The Kapex is a wonderful saw for running trim, and the crown stops only enhance its functionality.  It boggles my mind that Festool would completely ignore this system approach and come up with a nice, light Kapex stand that doesn't use the one set of (horribly overpriced) accessories I use every time the saw leaves the shop.

Yeah impressive with JMB jumping on it, but be honest he's about 100lbs wringing wet with a brick in each pocket, and the level of poise and grace in his movements, show that his training at the Royal School of Ballet wasn't wasted!! ;D

I just got back from Festool training class in Lebanon, and of all the tools and accessories in The Workshop, it was the Under Girding I was drooling most over.  Makes the Kapex the easiest Festool to transport!

Do you notice that I'm trying to get my nickname for the UG (Under Girding) to stick?

ah thats y it aint in stock!  I was told powertool world often has nothing in stock!   Funny cus u say u have to wait 1 to 2 weeks but yet his site has a large GREEN TICK availability 24/48 hour  which is clearly not true in your case. A dealer should be able to get it to you in a week if they dont have it in stock from germany.

Yea, i was surprised when he said probably 2 weeks but i am happy to wait at that price.  One thing i did have a go at him about was the postage.  He told me the day before that it was free postage to anywhere on mainland UK.  When i ordered it & he found out where i was he said he would have to charge me £12 because i am in the Highlands !!!
WTF, I'm still mainland UK, not an island but he said it didn't matter.  It is at this point i usually tell them to shove it but with this deal i couldn't pass it up.

It really bugs me when places advertise free delivery then when you get to the check out they screw you  [mad]

Makes me think twice about the companies service as well you see!  He said properly 2 weeks  which should only be 4 days tops for him then 2 days to you so total 6 days it should take tops to get to you  and also advertising on his site 24/48 hours delivery when it clearly aint so he should update his site to do so! Also not clearly stating the free delivery terms!   umm  just gotta hope if der is a problem he wont be funny about sorting it out.  

I was warned about his stock and his price as I used his site often to bargain with other dealers cus he does often have lower prices compared to everywhere else! I was told he problem wont have it in stock and some times wont be able to offer that price on the site when you call up to order it.

I never tried like cus im loyal to rexy lol!
