Kapex Ug stand Speed Test - 4 WOODGUY

Yea know what you are saying, i am loyal to my dealer also but £200 is not to be sniffed at.  I did try him but he couldn't match it.
 
i got my stand for £399 from toolsave  [big grin] as good as the stand is i wouldent fancy paying full wack for it.

i made my first order at powertool world last week a hitachi framing gun and loads of nails, they came next working day with no problems, next time i will phone and check stock before i order....
 
Like the silent review JMB. I've been wanting one for a while, didn't get the first stand with Kapex because too wobbly, adapted my dewalt stand to fit.  I ordered full ug set from powertoolworld last wed, they said it should be delivered this coming week, not sure exactly which day yet cos of all bank holidays etc. looking forward to wheeling(?) my Kapex around then carrying it. I let u know when I get it and what I think.

ug stand is great, the extension wings are flimsy, i mean too short and the one independent leg make it wobbly with any material heavier then trim or longer then 8 foot. for light trim use its fine but  i use the ug stand with my old saw helper wings and works much better. and it is still just two wings i need to set up so it is no more of a set up then the ug extension set up. but the ug mobile cart is worth it\'s weigh in gold alone.
 
Just got my Kapex UG stand today. Set up my saw on it and had a play with the wings etc ( pretended to cut wood like JMB ;D )
I LIKE IT ALOT. Need to test it out properly though. Will use it a bit tomorrow got a kitchen to finish, then I'll give it a proper workout next week when I start another kitchen. I'll let you know how it goes.

Mak, good to hear you like it.  Just tracked it & its in the Highlands now so should def get it tomorrow.  Bummer is I'm away from the workshop all day but the courier should text me when he is on his way  [thumbs up]
 
Got my kapex ug set today, will have a look at it this weekend and share my thoughts, i really want to ava a look at it but im shattered from workin, roll on saturday! it best be the dogs!

Hey guy, would you believe it my 718s poorly! I think its a bearing but it sounds rough and needs sorting before i can sell it. I cleaned it up last week and it really is in fantastic condition, i have the crown stops, the stand and 5 blades one of them being a freud stainless steel blade for laminates that cost over £100 its a beauty, so hopefully i will get a fair price for it to soften the blow of the kapex. Ill be sad to see her go but im lookin forward to tryin the kapex. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today i was workin away so i had it delivered to my mums, when i dropped my bros off once we got back these massive boxes were on the doorstep and after a 2hr drive and a night away i couldnt be arsed to set it up, so ill leave it until the weekend.

I told you Rexy has mint delivery service!  Quicker than going to a local store lol!   So rexy had a good day yesterday then!  Cus I spent like 500!  Not as much as you though!  [eek]

Nice video,  and yep it is quick and easy to use.  I have been using my stand now for 2 months and boy am I happy with it overall, just wish it had a imperial tape.  but quick and easy  especially when have to work in a back yard just wheel it out and set it up and cut.

this deck railing job and skirt I have been doing stack cutting 5 boards at a time and it holds them well.

Looked at the stand and saw today, not had chance to use it as the wings scratched the paint off the saw, first impressions is not good, seriously overpriced! They are replacing it but I may send the whole lot back, and the stand isnt that sturdy in fact nowhere near as sturdy as the dewalt.
