Hi Peter

A = 35 1/2"

B = 24"

C = 25"

Hope that helps. Woodguy would have helped you but he missed his delivery yesterday!!! ::)

Guy

Thanks!  And to think - I didn't need to convert from metric!  [poke] [thumbs up]

Peter

Just thought I would help out you metrically challenged old colonials!! [big grin] [big grin]

For those more enlightened who have embraced metrication,  [tongue] it is

A = 902mm

B = 610mm

C = 635mm

Hope that clears it up for both camps!!

OK.  Maybe, just maybe, you are pushing me closer to trying this out.  But I don't remember seeing dimensions for the outfit in the transport mode.  Would someone be so kind as to measure their setup when folded up and give me the dimensions as shown in the image below?  Transportation space is tight - I know you guys are laughing at me now - especially those on the other side of the pond who travel with 1/3 the space I do.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

ah i remember when my ug stand looked like that then i took it out of the box put the saw on it it jumped out of its detent and smashed the paint off the side!

Hi Guy, thanks for posting those dimensions...that helps me to visualize how large this set-up is.  Believe it or not, I've only seen  a Kapex in person one time--in a local Woodcraft.  It seemed quite massive to me, when compared to my Hitachi SCMS!  I did ask if I could "test drive" it in the workshop area, but they were a bit uneasy about this and didn't want anyone to use the tools. OK, just to prove to Brett & Guy that i did eventually get the stand  [tongue] here is the proof.  The workshop is a mess just now with things in there that shouldn't be there, lawnmower, BBQ, fire pit ect.  Just wanted to assemble & calibrate it, will find it a new home soon  [smile]

are you sure thats a kapexs? looks like its a chinese knockoff to me
[big grin]

About time woodGuy!    LoL

What you think off it at first impressions?

Daniel gave it a hard time with his first impressions lol

Jmb

I'm quite sure Dean  [huh]

JMB, i love it.  I can see why some might not like the single leg thing but if everything is tightened together properly it is good.  It obviously helps if you don't abuse the thing but that is common sense.

All the good reviews by everyone one Fog tipped me over the edge  ;D

How's everyone getting on with their stands???  [eek] I have used it for a couple of months now and am very pleased with it. it certainly is easy to wheel around and doesn't take long to set up. I get alot of comments from other chippies who seem impressed with the setup, but then faint when I tell them the price. But I think it is well worth the money and view it as an investment and it does make the job faster and enjoyable ;D  ;D

i really enjoy using my setup real easy to set up, i clamp my 6ft level to the kapex base and adjust my wings upto it, i find that its the quickest easyest way.

much better than plastic trestles 6x2's and sys1 outfeed tables i had before [big grin]

Yea, really pleased with mine also.  Don't know if i did it wrong but i calibrated the measuring stops when i first set it up but when i set it up the next time it was off ?
I'm glad i got it £200 off though, don't think i would buy it at full price.

i got mine for £400 and i pushed myself to spend all that on a frame it was well worth the money but i would not have even concidered it at £570 of whatever list price is
