kapex wiggling miter lever and handle vibration

My kapex handle started vibrating rhythmically so I sent it in under warranty.  They replaced the gear and miter lever, among other things.  The handle still seems to vibrate a little, but not nearly as much, so I sent it back again.  They said they tested it and it was operating normally, but now the miter lever wiggles up and down whenit is in t he unlocked position.  It locks the miter angle in just fine when in the locked position, but the handle jiggles up and down when the leveris pushed down into the locked position.  I sent them a video and they said this is normal.  Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a Colliflower zero clearance insert and when they sent it back the insert was all chewed up and the rear of the frame  was bent and looked like it had been nicked by the blade.  I have no idea how this could have happened since the blade doesn't even go back that far.  I sent them a picture and they said they have no idea how that happened and they are sending me a new blade.

I'm trying to insert a link to the video.  I'm new and not sure it worked.  Here is the link to the youtube video of it.

Based on your vid and my Kapex, it's normal.

Thanks everyone.  It just seems odd that the lever would feel loose when when the miter is locked in position, but it sounds like it is normal and nothing to worry about.  I just don't remember it doing that before I sent it in.  They did replace the lever, the first time I sent it in, so maybe there was something wrong with my original lever and I never knew it.

They actually replaced a lot of things.  I was really surprised.  I sent it in because  the handle was vibrating and they replaced the gear, the lever, the depth stop chuck (I don't know what that is), the end shield (I don't know what  that is), and the pistol stock.  I never noticed a problem with the lever or the pistol stock, but maybe all of those other things were part of the vibration problem.

Good to know that they have replaced many parts, much better than the problem or another problem popping up again because some related parts weren't replaced in the first place.

How old is your saw?

I bought the saw in march 2020.  This is the first time I've had any problems with it.  It started vibrating soon after I nicked a screw that was buried in a board,  I bought a new Festool blade to use on the saw now that it is repaired.  I don't know if I should have the old blade resharpened or just get rid of it since it may have contributed to the problem.

I don't know if nicking the screw could have messed up the balance of the blade and had something to do with the vibration problem.  If it did then I don't know if resharpening it would fix it.  The nicked blade was on the saw when I sent it in and they didn't say anything about it when they looked at it.

After it started vibrating I tried putting a Tenryu silencer blade on it.  That didn't make any difference, so I sent it in to be fixed.  Now that it is fixed I'm thinking of using the Silencer blade as a spare.  Has anyone had any problems using a Tenryu silencer blade?

...the end shield (I don't know what  that is), and the pistol stock.

The handle movement is normal.

Consider yourself fortunate that they replaced the End Shield as it's a $231 item. But more importantly it's one of 2 items that are always replaced when the Kapex goes toes-up. The End Shield is an armature assembly.
