Hope to see some of you tomorrow. Myself and Michael Williams will be trekking it up to New Haven (just outside of Fort Wayne) tomorrow for the Katz Roadshow event.

Bummer... It looks to be a lively bunch.  I'm sure you'll be there in spirit, though!!!

Guys - Go have fun.  If you have never been to one of these events, you need to go.  Because of what I do, I prefer Gary's presentations, but I have learned a lot from Mike's.  Turn off the cell phones and just have fun.  You will meet people who really care about spreading their knowledge and experience and boosting the image of those who do this for a living.

Shane,  tell Gary that I didn't do any videos because my footage was cr..! - i.e. less than acceptable in comparison to his productions.

Have a great time, guys. I went with a buddy to the one on Oct. 7th in Anaheim, CA (Ganahl Lumber). It was the location of the first Katz Roadshow 8 yrs ago and made it sort of a special event for Gary.

Had a great crowd there and definitely learned a lot from Gary. Well worth it. Thanks Gary.

The sponsors were all great and very generous with their donations. I won a raffle for $50 to Ganahl given by Azek. Thank you Azek. Festool offered a CT26 for the grand prize raffle if we had more than (I think) 150 attendees. Well, we did and my buddy was the lucky one to win that at the end of the evening.

The CT26 came last week and we used it while sanding some PlyBoo panels for a "Mid Century Modern" kitchen we're working on. Worked great. Thank you Festool. My buddy is very happy with it and now feels the need to get more Festools in the future. I see a slippery green slope coming.

Thanks to Gary and all involved that make these events possible.

I really wanted to go as this is local to me, but work matters just wouldn't allow it this time :(

I scored another Festool/Stabila level as a prize in one of the drawings.

Now what to do with 2 Festool Levels.

I am thinking it should go on the mantle for a conversation piece. [big grin]

Definitely a good event. I had seen Mike Sloggatt's rough carpentry clinic but this was my first time seeing Gary's finish carpentry clinic. Very informative with lots of great tips. It's definitely important to keep the most important tool sharp (your mind) and this is an excellent way to do so. Gary's schedule is wrapping up pretty soon for the year with an event near Chicago and one in Wisconsin. But there will be more opportunities next year to attend.
