I was wondering if anyone would understand why I’m getting what looks like dirt like particles under the finish. I seem to have a good finish layed down once it drys throughly other than the particles . Use if a Apollo power 5 with 7700 gravity fed gun and 1.5 needle. I’m just spraying test panel but was wondering if the panel should be raised off surface instead of flat on it maybe air bouncing back on panel . Tried thinking with ww fluid and it did help a little. Any help would be appreciated.

In my first response, I forgot to mention, rebound, make sure your work surface is spotless.
On MDF, you’ll need 2 coats of Surfacer. The MDF gets ugly when you wet it. The sanding and second coat solves this.
I have SW tint some of our undercoaters with black pigment. Helps if the piece ever gets a nick in it.
Sand with 240 between coats. The ETS 125 is best for this, I use Granat Net with the interface pad.
Wipe clean with a damp rag. Allow to dry, apply second coat of Surfacer.
After second coat sand with 240, wipe with damp rag, allow to dry.
Apply top coat, allow it to dry, inspect. I do not sand between top coats. There are occasions where I will need to run a denibbing file over a flaw.
Apply final top coat.

Any items you're going to spray that has any type of raised edge or profile needs to be blown off with compressed air prior to damp wiping. The dust in the corners and seams is almost impossible to get out any other way.
WEAR SAFTEY GOOGLES AND YOUR RESPERATOR WHEN BLOWING THINGS OFF!!!!
Always spray edges first.

Tjbnwi: can you please explain how you were able to get SW Kem Aqua Plus tinted to that dark of a color (Black Magic)? I was always under the impression it was limited to tinting into the pastels... thanks!
