I could see running a filler piece along the length of the ridge to fill in the spaces of the birdsmouths, but are you saying that's a piece of plywood and that's the only thing the valley rafters are attached to at their tops?

haahaa  beats me dude I aint bothered I didnt do it it aint my job its not how I would of done it .  In my opinion I dont think it will pass  but it properly will!   

If your on about the dormer I think any one with common sense knows if something small like a dormer is structurally sound I dont see the need for a structural engineer past experience should tell you if its okay.  Same with a roof if you do plenty you should know what size steel and rafters pretty much. Well I see no need for steels on roof any way if its tied in from wall plate to wall plate and all that bolted up how can it spread?

Any way a little moan!  I only posted this because you asked wa went wrong because Dean brought it up!

All kidding aside  [poke],  thanks for posting it.  I don't know the building laws and regulations there, but in the U.S., we can't just do stuff like that without an expert's certification or approval on paper for the building department and inspector(s) to review.

No big deal they used the new XXXL domonio with 3"x 6". Domonios.  And a giant cutter. On sale now for 2500 bucks comes with a giant Systainer of domonios. 16 to be exact that's all that would fit!  (just kidding Shawn)
