I don't know how or if this will work out.

I live in Vancouver BC Canada and was wondering if anybody out there would be interested in splitting an order for some of the Tano's items not available through Festool suck as the Systainer IV not readily available through Festool

Sys 4 Sortainer

I don't know how this will workout but thought I would extend the invitation to others

Hey Dan,

Couldn't get that link to work.

Sorry, just couldn't resist

NAINA? That's Bulldust! What would you put in the Sort IV if you could have one?

Eli

My Mother in Law is a widow and I do all of the electrical, plumbing and general maintenance around her house. I used to have use of my Father In Laws tools to help me out but with her recent house sale those extra tools ended up at my house. I could put together a small tool kit and leave it at her condo but I know darn well something will be missing or my Brother In Law may have borrowed something.

Anyhow, when she sold her home and I was over replacing the bathroom sink she gave me a nice sum of cash so I could put together a nice portable toolkit. At the time I was going to buy the Veto Propac XL but the price for that in Canada is almost equivalent to two Festool Sortainers  if I bring them back duty / tax free on my next visit.

The reason for the two deep drawers is for the thick tools I own like my multimeter, block plane, etc

I'd also like to get the nine drawer as well for an assortment of screws, nail punches, the list goes on and on.

I'd consider a linesman bucket or continue using the bucket buddy but I want something with closeable drawers so I can use it in the shop and not worry about dust or plane shavings getting into it.

In an ideal world someone would make a cost effective aluminum top cabinet for a rolling cabinet or a balso Gerstner chest but they are so bloody to lift.

In the end I'll probably buy the 4 Drawer Sortainer, the nine drawer and maybe a Systainer 1 for my drill and bits.

Looking at the price on the Sortainers and Systainers at Kofferfunshop and the shipping charges of $59.50 Euro's I think it might end up being too much.

Hi,

The another one that is not available from Festool is the drawer systainer - I. That could be real handy to add compact accessory storage to a tool systainer.  There are some others that are just different drwaer arrangements of the sortainer - III. You can do those by purchasing extra drawers or re-arranging the drawers between acouple different ones.

Have you thought of asking Christian O to see if we can get some sent over in there nex shippment? He has helped me out in the past.
I would love to get one of the Sortainers IV I am about to but a C12 drill and would like to keep that in one drawer and my TDK in the other. I use a Sortainer 3 now with the TDK and they work real well.

I'd also like a Sortainer IV.

Dan,

This link doesn't work.  It comes across with an extra "http//" in the link:

Code:
http://http//www.kofferfunshop.de/drawer-systainer+iv-1

Here's the corrected link:
Sys 4 Sortainer

Thanks,

Dan.

Thanks, Dan, for providing the correct link.  Did anyone notice the free Mini-Maglite offer to anyone who buys 3 systainers?  I have the Sortainer unit Item #  491522 with the single large drawer, because I was unable to buy from FestoolUSA a unit with 2 large drawers that I would have preferred.  How do others store their plastic splinter guards, Item # 491473, for their TS55 or TS75 saws?  I keep my splinter guards in one of the smaller Sortainer drawers, but they are not deep enough to keep the splinter guards from sometimes causing the drawer to bind.  I am using the largest drawer with compartment dividers to house some of my measuring and marking tools which won't fit in the smaller drawers.

the tool organizer works really for me and doesn't get much pub, but i have one and thats where I keep the good stuff i.e. nice hammer, plane, chisels, and anything else I don't want the others to use. the tool box and the bucket boss work good for the rest I keep the drill in the drill box and no you can't open any of the boxes with the green tabs, also the sys box 1 with plastic removable compartments has been very handy, anyway that's the route i went it lieu of the sortainer. Hi Dan,  I would be intrested to.
I am in vernon B.C so it would be easy to make a trip to the coast.  What would be the cost for the same item your ordering?

Thanks Carl

I wonder if you could put together a group through Festool??? Plus it would be cool if we could get them with green latches.

Brice,

I agree. I think encouraging Festool to make some of these type items available, even if they are special order only, makes a lot of sense. I posted once about a dolley that Tanos offers that is not available here and Christian O. offered to get one for me. I am not saying we should be leaning on Christian personally to marshall these thing (or maybe I am  ;D) but we should continue to express our desires about them expanding their offerings. If they were to call them Non-stocked Standards it would be just fine. We would understand they would need to come from Europe as stocking them here for relatively low sales wouldn't make sense.
